Yesteryear Collection

To celebrate 60 years of 'Rice Krispies' in 1987, Kellogg's commissioned Matchbox to produce an omnibus with Kellogg's advertisements.
Initially the model was obtained via an 'on-pack' offer run by Kellogg's. A light blue MB 38 Ford 'A' van was also offered! However, enough models were made to satisfy collectors worldwide.
Issued in January 1988 the model became the best selling Yesteryear that year and the best all time selling (Y23-1) Omnibus.
The front destination board and rear stair advertising labels were changed to promote the Kellogg's product.
